Launch and strategy session of the African Diplomatic Institutes Network (AfDIN)

The Director – General of the Foreign Service Academy Amb. Patrick Wamoto is in Accra, Ghana to take part in the launch and strategy session of the African Diplomatic Institutes Network (AfDIN) from today 6th July to 7th July 2026. AfDIN is an initiative of the African Union Commission, and is aimed at creating a structured framework for collaboration between the AU Commission and diplomatic training and research institutes across the African continent. Its core mission is to enhance mutual capacity building, systemize knowledge management on AU affairs, and strengthen the understanding and application of AU norms, principles, and strategic frameworks, with particular emphasis on the critical areas of governance, peace and security.
The vision of AfDIN is to cultivate a generation of diplomats who are not only skilled in the art of diplomacy but also deeply knowledgeable and passionate advocates for Africa’s continental agenda.
