The Foreign Service Academy Council Chairperson, Prof. Patrick Maluki, with Council members Amb. Makena Muchiri and Mr. Jethro Mosoti, accompanied H.E. Amb. Shem Amadi, Kenya’s High Commissioner to Ghana, to the Awukudae Festival at the invitation of His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, King of the Ashanti Kingdom, at Manhyia Palace, Kumasi.
At the Awukudae, a sacred occasion of royal rites, drumming and dance, the delegation presented gifts to the Asantehene, as a mark of respect for the Asantehene, one of Africa’s most revered traditional institutions.
The day was also graced by the historic visit of His Majesty Jira Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale I, King and Overlord of the Gonja Kingdom, to the Ashanti Kingdom
