At the ongoing Foreign Service Officer Cadets’ induction at the Foreign Service Academy, Ambassador Josphat K. Maikara, Director-General for Political and Diplomatic Affairs, led a session on Kenya’s strategic partnerships. He detailed key bilateral frameworks like the JCC and JMC, explaining how these mechanisms build trust and ensure the sustainability of international cooperation. Amb. Maikara also covered the strategic use of state visits to advance national interests. In a separate session, Ms. Elizabeth Mghanga, FSO, and Ms. Felisters Kebati, FSO, addressed the welfare and rights of Kenyans in the diaspora and the role of the State Department for Diaspora Affairs.
