The Foreign Service Academy and the Kenya Cybersecurity and Forensics Association (KCSFA) are exploring strategic collaboration in cybersecurity training, knowledge exchange, and the advancement of digital diplomacy initiatives within the foreign service. The partnership under discussion is expected to support capacity-building programmes targeting diplomats and technical officers, focusing on cybersecurity awareness, incident response, and safe digital communication practices. During deliberations held at the Academy, Amb. Patrick Wamoto- the Director-General observed that as diplomacy continued to evolve in the digital era, there was a growing demand and urgency for officers to be well-equipped to manage cyber risks and leverage technology in international engagement. Mr. Keniz Agira, Chairman of the Kenya Cybersecurity and Forensics Association (KCSFA) welcomed the initiative, describing it as a forward-looking step that would not only enhance Kenya’s cybersecurity posture but also strengthen the protection of diplomatic communication and data systems. Present during the deliberation was Ms. Valentine Kiriaku, Acting Head of ICT at the Academy.
