Amb. Patrick Wamoto, Ag. Director General of the Foreign Service Academy today visited
University of Nairobi, where he met Prof. Jack Odhiambo, Dean of the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences, and Prof. Silas Oriaso, Chairman of the Department of Journalism & Communication. Discussions centred on a framework to enhance training for Foreign Service Officers in communication skills. The Ag. DG underscored that effective communication is the essence of diplomacy, noting that history has never produced a good diplomat who was a poor communicator.
